My family and I stayed at Bath Terrace for about a month in July, and we had an excellent experience! The rental process was easy and flexible with our travel dates (the typical Saturday to Saturday was waived because we were flying from the States on a weekday). The property was a 10 minute walk to the Newcastle town centre, which was full of restaurants, shops, pubs, and amusements for our two young children. The house was also a quick walk from Donard Park and the Granite Trail, two entry points for walking the Mourne Mountains. The house itself was spotlessly clean and very family-friendly (we have a toddler and the house didn't require any baby-proofing!). There are three full flights of stairs dividing up living and sleeping quarters, so be prepared for steps if you have a youngster or difficulty walking. The bedrooms are well sized and the top floor bedroom has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower (the second floor bathroom has a large soaking tub). The kitchen was big enough that we were able to host relatives for an evening meal, and also kept us from eating out every night of our stay (though the restaurants and ice cream parlors in Newcastle were wonderful and we indulged quite a bit!). The kitchen and living room had small balconies overlooking the bay and Newcastle, and the views from the bayside rooms were amazing! This house is a perfect rental for a family interested in seeing Northern Ireland, or a group interested in outdoor activities like golfing and hiking. The house is located about 1 hour from Belfast, and about 2.5 hours from Dublin, we were able to take day trips to tons of sites, not mentioning the things to do locally within Newcastle, Dundrum, Castlewellan, and Downpatrick. I had looked at a variety of properties, including some in the centre of Newcastle Promenade, but we were lucky to have stayed at Bath Terrace. The Promenade is full of activity and nightlife, but it was great to be a quick walk up the street (it made for a good night's sleep, and not worrying about parking in town). We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and we were happy to have called it our "home away from home"!

Really lovely house, fantastic view of the bay . The location is just a few minutes from mountain walks, forest paths , the beach and the shops .......... as long as the weather is reasonable you could not get a better spot. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The top floor double bed is a bit firm for me but I expect other guests might think this is perfect. The house is child friendly and spotlessly clean , a secure wall at the front protects from the road traffic and private parking at the back is great for loading and unloading. The area is very quiet at night, so sleeping is not a problem but a extra curtain or two would stop the morning light coming in too early. I would love to come back to this house .......... well pleased P.

This holiday home is perfect for exploring both the Mournes and also for visiting beautiful beaches and surrounding countryside. The house is very well equipped, quiet, clean, warm, nicely furnished and comfortable. It has a handy convenience store and super cafe within a couple of minutes' walk and is a short stroll into town. Most impressive, however, are the sea views from kitchen / diner, living room and master bedroom - we never tired of looking at this! The owner was very friendly and prompt to answer any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this holiday home to others.

The house was fantastic and very clean with the most stunning sea views and panoramic scenes of Newcastle . The beach was on your doorstep with a well equipped shop and an amazing cafe and restaurant. Brian (the owner )was so accommodating and even took delivery of our tesco order when our flight was delayed. Overall we had the most relaxing time and we will definitely visit again!

Stayed here last week with my mother and two siblings and absolutely loved it. The house was so clean and the owners graciously provided everything we could have needed. Beds were incredibly comfortable and sea views with a cup of coffee in the morning was a great way to start the day!

This is a clean and modern cottage with all the facilities we needed. We stayed for a week with our two teenagers and there was plenty of space. Brian was very helpful. The location is good too: shop, coffee bar and pub were all five minutes walk, and there are plenty of shops in Newcastle. You can walk into the Mourne mountains from the house, and there are beaches close by including a blue flag each at Murlough where there is a nature reserve with amazing flora. We were very pleased with the holiday.
